Donations ‘pinned' to tree at College of Technology
The Montana Tech College of Technology's traditional Christmas tree is decorated with clothes pins — to allow donated gloves, hats and pet treats to be pinned to the tree.
Spearheaded by the Student Leadership Council, people are collecting supplies for various community organizations, including the Paul Clark Home-McDonald's Family Place, Safe Space, Suited for Success, Donna's House, Discovery House and Pintler Pets. Additionally, the COT chapter of the international honor society, Phi Theta Kappa, is collecting food for disadvantaged COT families.
"We know that some of our students have used these community services and so that means it is even more important for us students to support these agencies," said business student Lori Walks.
Montana Tech students, faculty and staff are encouraged to bring gloves, hats, pet items and non- perishable food to the College of Technology. The collected items will be delivered as appropriate.
For details, call John Garic, dean of COT, at 496-3714, or Amanda Badovinac at 496-4828.
