Tim Montana show to re-air
Tim Montana's Oct. 17 performance on The Late Show with David Letterman re-airs at 10:30 p.m. Thursday on CBS, which is Channel 8 on Butte cable television.
Montana (Tim Pasquinzo), who grew up in Elk Park, performed his song "Butte America" before a live audience of more than 500 on Letterman's show in New York City.

Benefit Saturday for cancer patient
A benefit for Judy Crowley Kelly of Butte starts at noon Saturday at the Helsinki Yacht Club,
402 E. Broadway.
Proceeds will help Kelly in her fight against breast cancer. The day feature music, food, live auction, 50-50 tickets and raffle tickets.
Public hearings rescheduled
Public hearings on proposals for redevelopment of vacant Butte-Silver Bow property in the 1100 block of Caledonia Street and the 400 block of East Park Street have been
rescheduled.
These hearings will be held during the council of commissioners' meeting at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 17 in the courthouse.

Ice sculpting class Saturday
Ice sculpting classes are planned 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Park, Park and Main.
It's for people planning to participate in the eighth Ice Sculpting Contest held in Uptown Butte on Saturday, Dec. 13. Volunteer sculptors are still needed.

Anaconda store closes its doors
ANACONDA — Calico Closet, a clothing store at 400 E. Park Ave., has closed its doors after about
25 years in business.
Owners could not be reached for comment Tuesday, but signs and newspaper advertisements announced the store's
closure and its phone number has been disconnected.
"We're sorry to lose them," said Edith Fransen, executive director of the Anaconda Chamber of Commerce.
The store was opened in 1983 as Calico and Co. by Linda Perna McNeil, according to a Montana Standard article. After McNeil died of breast cancer 2004, her friends Lisa Verlanic and Linda Verlanic Keele — who are sisters — took over the store.
The shop sold women's clothing and accessories.
Mineral leasing focus of talk
Missouri Headwaters Partnership presents "Mineral Leasing" and a "Big Hearts" event Thursday in Twin Bridges
Mary Sexton, director of the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, will be
featured speaker on mineral leasing activities.
Donna McDonald will talk about Big Hearts Under the Big Sky.
A potluck dinner starts at 6 p.m. at the Twin Bridges High School cafeteria,

Butte High sets holiday concert
The Butte High choirs will present their Christmas Concert, "Season's of Love," at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, in the Butte High auditorium.
The free concert will feature the Concert Choir, Chorale, Varsity Chorale, Top 16 and band students.
New maps available
DILLON — New maps of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest and
surrounding lands are
available for sale at Forest Service offices in southwest Montana.
The maps show the latest road and trail, and public-ownership information. They are printed on
polyethylene paper, treated to resist water. Each map costs $10.
