Foster homes, help wanted for ‘Camp Husky' pups
People willing to help the "Camp Husky" effort by taking dogs home temporarily are asked to call 533-5371 and leave a message. Those interested in helping at the temporary shelter at 102-106 S. Arizona are urged to call that number, too.
Butte-Silver Bow animal services director Phyllis Ruana said she has gotten permission from the court to allow for people to foster the dogs while the animal cruelty case moves through the system.
She said all the foster care arrangements are going through her, and she's making home visits to each potential helper to ensure the dogs will be properly cared for.
If the dogs, mostly husky mixes, eventually end up in the county's hands, foster helpers will have the option to adopt them.
