  • The KCAC Four-man Winter Basketball League will start Nov. 24 at the Felix Madrazo Gym at the Knights of Columbus Hall. All games are played to 80 by twos and threes. Teams may sign up daily after 3 p.m. at the KC Hall. Full entry fees and rosters must be paid before any games will be scheduled. For more information, call Bernie Boyle at 490-8867.

  • Big Sky Hoops is hosting a youth basketball tournament in Anaconda on Dec. 5-6. All teams that enter will receive a four- or five- game guarantee. Individual awards will be presented for first and second place in all divisions. There will be separate divisions for boys and girls in grades 3-8. Games will begin Saturday morning with teams traveling the farthest distance starting later.   • The Montana Tech Monday "Scouting Report" function is scheduled for Nov. 17. The luncheons take place each Monday at noon in the Vu Villa; coaches review programs and preview upcoming games.

  • The Grizzly Scholarship Association hosts the 2008 Griz Auction on the eve of the 108th Griz-Cat football game — Nov. 21 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Missoula beginning at 6:30 p.m. All proceeds from the auction go toward scholarships for student-athletes at The University of Montana, the release said. Tickets are $75 per person. For more information or reservations, call 243-6481.

  • The Annual George Mungas Memorial Football Banquet honoring and recognizing The University of Montana's 2008 football team is set Sunday, Nov. 23, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Missoula. Featured speaker is Griz head coach Bobby Hauck. The 2008 football highlight video will debut at the luncheon, and the annual Griz team awards will be presented. The luncheon begins with a social at 12:30, followed by lunch. The cost is $20 per person and tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Adams Center Box Office and all Griz Tix outlets, or by calling 1-800-MONTANA or 243-4051. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available at the door.

  • The Idaho Falls Parks & Recreation Department has slated its Thanksgiving Tournament for boys' and girls' basketball teams, grades 4-9, on Nov. 28-29 in Idaho Falls gyms. Proceeds benefit the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research, a press release said. The entry fee of $255 per team is due Nov. 21. Visit idahopremier.com/thanksgiving_tournament.
