Couple involved in crash
Husband killed, wife hospitalized
A Sheridan couple was identified as being involved in a motorcycle crash that killed one man and injured his wife Thursday evening.
Kenneth L. Steiner, 50, died after the motorcycle he was driving hit a deer on Montana 287 a few miles south of Sheridan just before 7 p.m., according to Madison County Sheriff Dave Schenk.
His wife, Doris, who was riding on back of the bike, was injured in the accident and was transported to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.
Doris Steiner was still being treated at the hospital Monday afternoon, an official with the hospital reported.
The couple was traveling north on Montana 287 between Sheridan and Laurin when the motorcycle hit a deer in the roadway. Both riders were thrown from the bike.
