Northern men take care of Orediggers

HAVRE (AP) — Durwin Williams scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Montana State-Northern made 30 free throws in beating Montana Tech 75-66 Saturday night.
Tech (10-17, 5-9 Frontier) led 32-30 at halftime, but Northern (19-10, 9-5) shot 60 percent from the field in the second half to pull away.
Ronnie Simpson added 17 points and Brian Erickson 12 for the Lights.
Stephen Thomas came off the bench to lead Tech with 22 points, followed by Sam Conley with 12 points and Jake Williams with 10.
Tech was called for 24 fouls and Northern made 30 of 38 free throws, including 26 of 33 in the second half. Northern was called for 21 fouls and Tech made 15 of 21 free throws.
