Orediggers sign guard
By The Standard Staff - 06/17/2006
Shea Bradshaw, who played basketball for North Idaho College the past two seasons, signed to play for Montana Tech, men’s coach Nate Larson announced Friday.
Bradshaw graduated from Corvallis High School in 2003, where he was a McDonald’s All-American nominee.
Bradshaw also earned first-team Class A All-State as a senior when he averaged 25 points, seven assists and six rebounds per game for the Blue Devils.
“We are fortunate that Shea decided to come back home to southwest Montana and finish his academic and athletic career as See OREDIGGERS, Page B6 an Oredigger,” Larson said. “He will fill an offensive hole in our perimeter and blend in nicely with our returning players.” At Northern Idaho, Bradshaw averaged nine points per game and made 39 percent of his 3-point shots. He led the Scenic West Athletic Conference with 86 3-pointers as a freshman.
“Shea put up some impressive numbers in a very talented junior college league, and he will be able to step in right away and be an immediate outside shooting threat in the Frontier Conference,” Larson said.
Bradshaw graduated from NIC this spring with an associate of arts degree. He plans to major in business and information technology at Tech.
