Butte resident Nancy Oljar will sign her new book at Books & Books, 206 W. Park St., from 2 to 4 p.m. The self-published, 60-page paperback is called “I Wanted to be a Cheerleader,” and details Oljar’s longtime struggle with bipolar disorder.
The 30-member Montana Tech Band will give a free, public concert at 7:30 p.m. in the college auditorium. The one-hour concert features traditional marches, swing music and concert band pieces.
The Mineral Museum on the Montana Tech campus will host a free, public lecture at 7 p.m. Called “Seismic Hazards — Lessons from the Dillon Earthquake,” the talk is presented by Mike Stickney. Stickney directs the Earthquake Studies Office at Tech. Call 496-4414 for details.
Michele Anderson’s School of Dance will present “Showtime 2006,” its annual dance revue, at 7 p.m. in the Mother Lode Theater. Tickets may be purchased from any dancer in advance for $5 or at the door for $7. For more details, call 494-8177.
